The WA branch is pleased to invite you to join a tour of WA Electricity retailer Synergy's Kwinana Big Battery, on Wednesday July 3rd at 1 pm.

The Kwinana Battery Energy Storage System is located on the site of the old Kwinana Power Station site. Delivering up to 150 MW of peak power, and storing 200 MWh of energy, KBESS1 will take on the rold currently served by gas-fired peaking plants - providing enough supporting power for the Southwest Interconnected System during high demand.  KBESS2 is a proposed expansion due to be complete in 2027, and will store up to 800 MWh of energy.

The tour will start at 1 pm sharp, so please come prepared with closed, sturdy footwear and long pants. Additional PPE will be provided.
