Yeppoon EV Display - 4th June 2022

We had 10 EVs plus bikes and scooters and a gas to energy booth by LGI from Benaraby. The consecutive events in Yeppoon and Gladstone attracted EV journalist David Waterworth and two other cars from SE Queensland. Although we clashed with the Yeppoon Show we had a steady steam of viewers. One of the Tesla Model 3s was parked on the street and provided rides.

The display included:

One Kia Niro, four Tesla Model 3 cars, one Tesla Model S, a BYD E6, a Nissan Leaf and the Landcare Mitsubishi iMiev van. Also present was a Hyundai Getz converted to electric power by AdventureTec at Emu Park. There was also a range of electric bikes and scooters exhibited by private owners and AdventureTec. Member for Capricornia Michelle Landry MP visited the display and was impressed by the range of vehicles. The LGI company was also present to promote its plant to convert waste gas to electric power. The company is planning to use this plant at Benaraby landfill site to power an electric car charger.
